It begins…

It often begins with an idea… a conversation… or a thought. Something clicks and you just can’t shake the feeling that ‘this is a good idea. I should act on it’. That was the way with LearningCURVE. My wife and I were on a buying trip for a completely different idea I had for a home design retail shop. It had been a vision for many years, and after a lot of waiting and delaying, I felt it was FINALLY time to move forward on it. But something still didn’t feel right about it still. I wanted to bring relationally source goods to a market that would appreciate a great story BEHIND the product.

We knew there would be a lot of things we didn’t know, and things we would have to figure out along the way. That’s one of the reasons we chose he name we did. We feel like it perfectly captures the journey we are all on in life!

After a lot of thinking and praying and listening to (and NOT listening to) friends, we decided the time was right to being our LearningCURVE adventure. We were locky to be selected to be a part of the College Hill OurSHOP program, sponsored by the City of Cincinnati and the College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation. We have been given the unique opportunity to run our store with a lot of the overhead expenses waived for a while. Because of that, we were able to bring our customers the closest manifestation of the vision we had as possible. From the fixtures, to the bags to the way we present our product -everything is exactly how we pictured it.

We know we are unique, and we also know there will be challenges along the way, but we know that we are called to do this. We are grateful to each of you- our friends and current, and future customers. We look forward to sharing the journey with you!
